Dream Beach Wedding Venues: Saying I Do in Coastal Florida

Here at  SEASALT, we fell head over heels for the beach life years ago. So, when people ask us if Coastal Florida is a beautiful place to tie the knot, of course, it’s a resounding yes.

Today we’re exploring what makes Florida an amazing place to get married and selecting our favorite wedding venues. But how are we going to pick just a few?

What’s so dreamy about a Coastal Florida wedding?

If you’re planning a beach wedding, you should know that St. Pete, Clearwater, and Treasure Island have all been voted best beaches according to TripAdvisor. You’ve got miles of unspoiled, iconic white, soft sand. Plus, the Gulf of Mexico usually has a mild temperature and crystal clear waters. We’re loving the chill beach wedding vibes.

In Coastal Florida, there’s so much to do to entertain guests, such as bars, restaurants, shopping, sailing, speed boating, jet skis, and dolphin watching.

When it comes to a beautiful wedding backdrop and entertainment, you can’t beat Coastal Florida.

Our top 6 wedding venues

We’re spoiled for choice here in Greater Tampa Bay when it comes to stunning, elegant venues. But if we absolutely had to narrow down our favorites, they would be:

  1. Don CeSar, St Pete Beach

Built in 1928, St Petersburg locals call it the Pink Palace. Don CeSar is known as a classic choice for a wedding, an elegant nautical dream. They’ve got a tropical courtyard and beachside pavilions, plus 10 amazing spaces that can host up to 250 guests.

  1. IMG Academy Golf Club, Bradenton

Nestled next to Sarasota Bay’s showcase of natural wonders, IMG Academy Golf Club boasts a pristine golf course and clubhouse with unmatched views. This wedding venue is located minutes from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, white sand beaches, and a host of nearby activities for all ages and interests.

  1. Sunken Gardens, St. Petersburg

Imagine exchanging vows in a tropical garden. Sunken Gardens is St. Petersburg’s oldest living museum. It’s a 100-year-old garden – a botanical paradise tucked away in a bustling city.

  1. Art Ovation Sarasota Autograph Collection by Marriott, Sarasota

Art Ovation is located in the city center of Sarasota, so the venue complements its surroundings with art installations and modern appeal. The grand ballroom is perfect for extravagant celebrations, and the building skylines make a gorgeous wedding backdrop.

  1. DoubleTree Beach Resort by Hilton Hotel, North Redington Beach

A beach wedding means powdery white sand, and you’ve got that right here. The view of the Gulf of Mexico is simply stunning. For a gorgeous outdoor wedding space, the Gulf Side Beach seats up to 100 guests.

  1. Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, Clearwater Beach

This luxurious, romantic, tropical wedding venue can host weddings of 50 to 800 guests. They’ve got 40,000 square feet of flexible space including their spacious Grand Ballroom, featuring outdoor patios and a gulf view, plus smaller salons that are ideally suited for more intimate gatherings.
